We had a great experience!! Simone & Andrew were proactive in communication and helped us to feel prepared and informed for our stay.
The cabin was awesome, a perfect spot to enjoy views of Lake Superior, head into the town of Grand Marais, look for rocks on the shore, or drive further north to some awesome hikes and lookouts.
We highly recommend and would definitely come back again! :)

Clean, cozy, close to town, and beautiful views of the lake and wildlife! My partner and I had a wonderful experience staying in the Tranquilo cabin. My personal favorite part of the cabin was the gas fireplace that kept us warm during this chilly time of year. Would definitely recommend to other couples looking for a cozy getaway! Thank you Agua Norte:)

The Tranquilo cabin was perfect for a peaceful weekend getaway! The wood fire sauna was so relaxing and the views were incredible. We lost count of all the deer we saw!

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL weekend. We lucked out and the skies cleared for gorgeous stars and northern lights!! We loved the views, and swing inside. The fish on the tile shower floor were the best touch. The sauna was also very very nice, be sure to check the reservations when you book your stay!

Our cabin was beautiful so cozy and everything we needed. We grilled, we took to the sauna and we lounged and soaked up the view. All the things we did! We cannot wait to come back.

Our stay at Agua Norte’s Loft was fantastic. The location overlooking Lake Superior is beautiful, with an amazing view of Five Mile Rock right from the residence. Hearing the waves—and even ice crashing onto the shore—made the experience feel uniquely North Shore.
The loft itself is very comfortable, spotless, and feels almost brand new. The furnishings and finishes all seem recent and well chosen, making the space both modern and cozy.
The internet was excellent, with speeds over 250 Mbps up and down, which made remote work and streaming easy.
Communication with the host was great. We had one small issue and she responded quickly and resolved it right away.
The sauna was also a nice bonus. I’m not a huge sauna person, but it definitely gets very hot and works great.
Overall, a beautiful, well-kept place with great views and a responsive host. We’d absolutely stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This place was the only airbnb I have stayed at that was actually nicer than the photos. Very clean, well taken care of and beautiful views. The wood burning sauna was top notch. Very cozy and peaceful.

booked this airbnb for my sister's birthday and it was magical! super cute place + amazing view + centrally located but still private and peaceful! + the record player was a fun touch. would recommend and would stay again!!

The Tranquillo cabin at Agua Norte is an amazing and magical place with stunning views and incredible cabin. I felt like I was in Scandinavia. The traditional sauna with the wood burning stove was incredible. Simone was responsive, clear and made our stay at her cabin an incredibly comfortable experience. My wife and I had a vacation that we will never forget!

We came in just before a blizzard started the first night. The blizzard went on for all of the next day and into the next night and was the biggest there in years. Turned the whole area into a winter wonderland. Andrew reached out (while we were using the sauna) by phone to make sure that we were all right and then made sure that he kept us up to date about his work with his plowing contractor to get the driveway plowed out to the highway.
This is a beautiful place with uncommon views of Lake Superior. The sauna is easy to reserve for each 4-hour session and their clear instructions made it pleasurable and safe to use. Everything - the lodging and the sauna - were well maintained, stocked, and well designed and outfitted. It's obviously well built and insulated. Great for winter but I bet it's also super nice in the summer - and just a few minutes outside of Grand Marais where you can get food, coffee, etc.
